Charbonnel has been making etching and lithography inks, along with grounds and varnishes since 1862. Every artist, from the Impressionists to Modern Artists, has been using the richly pigmented inks for their printmaking projects. Asides from a few improvements over the years, the recipe remains unchanged, and the ink is available in both 60ml tubes as well as a selection of blacks and whites in 200ml and 800ml cans.
